15 of our soliders from the 95th (HQ team) and the 520th (FIREFIGHTING team), deployed along with our tanker(T6), rescue(R3), command(C2), utility(U4) and our MACI fire engine (E40). We deployed from 19 Sep 01 to 20 Nov 01. Bright Star is a multinational training operation that takes place every other year in Northern Egypt, outside of Cairo. NO, this mission IS NOT part of the MFO mission in the Siani. We were there in support of the mission. Our mission was actual fire saftey and protection of the base and heli-pads. We had a great time and were attatched to a great unit. WE did plenty of our own training too. We also had the opportunity to go to Giza and the Med Sea.
